About Stress

Stress, it is one thing that has been my problem for these past few days. Why? Because I probably become more paranoid about school and stuff. Now I'm afraid of being in class. I'm afraid of being around the smart kids in class. I feel intimidated by them while they do nothing to me at all. Everything is always about school in my head. The stupid questions start to pop out continuously.
"What if i got the lowest grade in class? What if they would call me a dumbass and go away from me because of that? What if i cant survive in this class?"

I think too much. I even think too much about my future. I'm afraid if I wouldn't be what the people around me expect me to be when I finally finish with school.

I know my problem, my only problem. Its my negativity. I'm a very negative person about myself. I never feel confident about being me. I always think I'm gonna fail whenever I want to do something. And the result is : I did fail, often.

So, I was wandering through some websites and I found a definition of the word stress.

Stress is an emotionally disruptive or upsetting condition of mind which occurs in response to adverse external influences. Stress raises the level of adrenaline (a hormone & a neurotransmitter) and corticosterone (a 21 carbon steroid hormone) in the body, which leads to increase in the heart rate, respiration, and blood pressure and puts more physical stress on bodily organs. When some thing pleasant or unpleasant happens around you, which puts you in a state of strain or pressure, it is called stress.

The best way to reduce stress : rest.

One of the important steps to tackle the stress (for me, especially) is to organize your environment, and budget your time. Set a time table and work according to that schedule. You can't have more than twenty four hours in a day. Your competitors (i.e smart asses in class) too have just that many hours. Then how they are in a more advantageous position? (i dont know how to answer this)

Think positively. Whether unnecessary thinking and stressful living, has solved any problems? Then, why worry over a matter over which you should not worry at all?

Your habits have lot to do with your stress. Never postpone for tomorrow, what you can do and complete today. Tomorrow never comes. Today it will be too late. Do it just now.
